You’ll regularly see XAGS mentioned on the Xagio website, in training videos, in social media posts, and in different parts of the plugin.
They are a central feature of Xagio, and we’ve created this quick overview to help you better understand what they are, what you need them for, and how to get more.
What Are XAGS?
XAGS are Xagio’s currency, and they act like credits to gain access to premium features like Agent X website builds, Audits, Wizards, Rank Tracking, AI Optimization, KW Competition, Web Templates, Niche Hunter, and Hosting. The upcoming Xagio Studio will run on XAGS too.
Different Xagio features require different amounts of XAGS, and we’ve designed them to give you as much flexibility as you need.
Here’s a few examples.
- If all you wanted to do is track your websites keywords rankings, then you can spend your entire XAGS balance on that!
- If you wanted to do a bit of keyword rank tracking, and a bit of Keyword Research with Audits & Wizards, you would spend your XAGS on those features!
- If you wanted to do a bit of everything Xagio has to offer, you’d budget your XAGS for all features!
While it often makes the most sense to spread your balance across different features, we don’t dictate how you decide to allocate them, we allow you to choose!
What Do You Need XAGS For?
Xagio contains premium features, and using these will require a certain amount of your budget each time you use them.
We make it extremely clear to you whenever you’re about to use a feature that requires XAGS and also show you how much of your budget will be used.

Different Types Of XAGS
To give you as much flexibility as possible, we have implemented three different types of XAGS.
1. xRenew
When you buy a recurring Xagio plan, you get an allocation of xRenew XAGS based on your plan and billing cycle — monthly plans receive it every month, quarterly plans receive 3x every 3 months, and annual plans receive 12x up front, all at once.
xRenew XAGS work on any of the premium features, and you are free to allocate them in whichever way works best for you.
As the name suggests, xRenew XAGS are replenished every billing period based on your purchase date (quarterly plans receive 3x every 3 months, annual plans receive 12x up front every year).
And here’s the best part: unused xRenew XAGS now roll over. As long as your subscription stays active, whatever you don’t spend carries over and accumulates on top of your next allotment — a slow month becomes next month’s budget.
A few things to know about rollover:
- Stay subscribed, keep stacking. Rollover XAGS accumulate for as long as your subscription remains active.
- Upgrades keep your stack. Moving to a higher plan or a longer billing cycle grants your new allotment and your accumulated rollover XAGS come with you.
- Downgrades and cancellations don’t. Downgrading your plan or billing cycle, cancelling, or a failed payment forfeits accumulated rollover XAGS — you start fresh on the new plan’s allotment. See our Cancellation Policy for details.
2. xBanks
Just like xRenew, xBank XAGS provide access to our premium features, and you can allocate them any way you want.
The key difference with xBank XAGS is that they are like a savings account and don’t expire, giving you maximum flexibility no matter what your project timeline looks like.
You can buy xBank XAGS in packages available on the Xagio store, and this is a great way to top up your account if you’re working on a large project.
3. xTemplates
Xagio has a large growing library of professionally designed website templates that you can browse, download, and install in seconds!
With every paid Xagio plan, you get an allocation of download credits, which tops up each month. However, they do not roll over.
xTemplates have the same download function, but they do not expire until you use them!
You can purchase xTemplates if you need access to more templates right away. Simply visit the store and choose a bundle at incredibly competitive prices.
Where & How Do You Get XAGS
Topping up your account with more XAGS is incredibly easy, and we have extremely flexible options to suit all types of Xagio users.
The first thing you should consider is upgrading your paid Xagio plan to get access to a larger amount of xRenew XAGS each month. This is the most cost-effective way to make sure you always have a good balance to support your SEO projects.
Secondly, if you need a large number of XAGS for a once-off project, then you can buy xBanks in packages. These provide the same feature access as xRenew, with the added bonus that they don’t expire.
