They are a central feature of Xagio, and we’ve created this quick overview to help you better understand what they are, what you need them for, and how to get more.
What Are XAGS?
XAGS are Xagio’s currency, and they act like credits to gain access to premium features like Audits, Wizards, Rank Tracking, AI Optimization, KW Competition, Web Templates, and Niche Hunter.
Different Xagio features require different amounts of XAGS, and we’ve designed them to give you as much flexibility as you need.
Here’s a few examples.
- If all you wanted to do is track your websites keywords rankings, then you can spend your entire XAGS balance on that!
- If you wanted to do a bit of keyword rank tracking, and a bit of Keyword Research with Audits & Wizards, you would spend your XAGS on those features!
- If you wanted to do a bit of everything Xagio has to offer, you’d budget your XAGS for all features!
While it often makes the most sense to spread your balance across different features, we don’t dictate how you decide to allocate them, we allow you to choose!
What Do You Need XAGS For?
Xagio contains premium features, and using these will require a certain amount of your budget each time you use them.
We make it extremely clear to you whenever you’re about to use a feature that requires XAGS and also show you how much of your budget will be used.

Different Types Of XAGS
To give you as much flexibility as possible, we have implemented three different types of XAGS.
1. xRenew
When you buy a recurring Xagio plan, you get a monthly allocation of xRenew XAGS, depending on your chosen plan.
xRenew XAGS work on any of the premium features, and you are free to allocate them in whichever way works best for you.
As the name suggests, xRenew XAGS are replenished monthly based on your purchase date, but they don’t carry over to the next month, so make sure to use them up to gain maximum value.
2. xBanks
Just like xRenew, xBank XAGS provide access to our premium features, and you can allocate them any way you want.
The key difference with xBank XAGS is that they are like a savings account and don’t expire, giving you maximum flexibility no matter what your project timeline looks like.
You can buy xBank XAGS in packages available on the Xagio store, and this is a great way to top up your account if you’re working on a large project.
3. xTemplates
Xagio has a large growing library of professionally designed website templates that you can browse, download, and install in seconds!
With every paid Xagio plan, you get an allocation of download credits, which tops up each month. However, they do not roll over.
xTemplates have the same download function, but they do not expire until you use them!
You can purchase xTemplates if you need access to more templates right away. Simply visit the store and choose a bundle at incredibly competitive prices.
Where & How Do You Get XAGS
Topping up your account with more XAGS is incredibly easy, and we have extremely flexible options to suit all types of Xagio users.
The first thing you should consider is upgrading your paid Xagio plan to get access to a larger amount of xRenew XAGS each month. This is the most cost-effective way to make sure you always have a good balance to support your SEO projects.
